Team building

A Cappella singing
- Participants learn songs from a range of genres including jazz, folk and pop to develop working together, following a leader, taking the lead and communication skills

Latin American Percussion
- Participants learn rhythms from Latin America to develop working together, following a leader, taking the lead and communication skills

African Drumming
- Participants learn to play rhythms from Africa to develop working together, following a leader, taking the lead and communication skills

World Percussion
- Participants learn to play rhythms from around the World to develop working together, following a leader, taking the lead and communication skills

Junk Percussion
- Participants create their own instruments out of junk and household objects and create a piece of music in a fun, inclusive environment - no prior musical experience required.

Presentation skills

A Cappella singing
- Participants learn songs from a range of genres including jazz, folk and pop to develop stage presence, use of the voice, communication skills and self-confidence

Latin American Percussion
- Participants learn rhythms from Latin America leading to a presentation to colleagues to develop stage presence, communcation skills and self-confidence

African Drumming
- Participants learn to play rhythms from Africa leading to a presentation to colleagues to develop stage presence, communcation skills and self-confidence

World Percussion
- Participants learn to play rhythms from around the World leading to a presentation to colleagues to develop stage presence, communciation skills and self-confidence

How important are presentation skills to your company and staff?
- Participants experience good and bad presentation skills through musical performance to show the importance of good presentation skills in all work situations - from a job interview to sales pitches. Includes information on how to use your voice and body language.

 

Creative workshops

Creativity means Business
- Participants look at the benefits of creative problem solving. They learn how to establish a creative mind set and how to use creative thinking techniques to develop services and products and solve problems.

Write a jingle
- Participants assess the public face of your company - impression do you want to create for clients and potential customers? Who are your clients and potential customers? What sort of music would they listen to? How could your company' policies be expressed as music? The workshop helps develop a better understanding of your company and promotes unity in the company's aims.

African Drumming
- Staff learn to work both independently and as part of group - promotes team building and builds confidence

Latin American Percussion
- Staff learn to work as part of a team while following instructions - promotes team building, following a leader and builds confidence

Make your own instruments and learn how to play them
- Help your staff develop their creative skills by making their own musical instruments and developing their own pieces of music - promotes team building, creative skills and "thinking outside the box"

Junk Percussion
- Staff learn to work both independently and as part of group -promotes team building, creative skills and builds confidence

 

Vocal workshops

Musiic from Around the World
- Staff learn to understand the culture of your customers and colleagues through music programme adapted to your needs
- Staff develop presentation skills required for meeting clients and colleagues. Particularly relevant for sales teams
- Staff learn to work both independently and as part of group

Choral singing
- Staff learn to work as part of a team while maintaining their own role - promotes team building and builds confidence

A Cappella singing
- Staff learn songs from the aural tradition to develop working with others while maintaining your own role - promotes team building and builds confidence

Regular Workshops

Choir - set up a work choir
- Allows staff to combat stress through song and develop working as part of a team. Also develops performing and presentation skills (relevant for sales)

Band - set up a band in any style including pop, rock, jazz, brass, wind bands
- Allows staff to share interests from outside work and to develop skills such as working as part of team, developing creativity and performing skills

African Drumming classes
- Allows staff to combat stress, keep active and develop skills such as working as part of team, developing creativity, performing skills and following a leader

Latin American Percussion classes

All musicians have been CRB checked. All workshops can be recorded - photographed / videoed / audio recorded for your records.

The Music Workshop Company works with musicians from all over the UK and can offer workshops in all areas of England, Wales and Scotland.
