About The Music Workshop Company

The Music Workshop Company was set up in September 2002 by Maria Thomas. Since that time we have supplied projects to schools, community groups and businesses all over England, Wales and Scotland. We have worked with over 50,000 participants from toddlers to grandparents.

The Music Workshop Company is administrated from an office in Hertfordshire, but we work with a wide range of musicians based all over the UK. All the Music Workshop Company musicians are professional music facilitators or workshop leaders. Many of our musicians also teach and perform at the highest levels as soloists, with their own ensembles, in recording sessions and with top orchestras.

The benefits of children taking part in music have been widely researched - now more and more businesses are working with musicians to solve problems in the work place and help their staff with their professional development.

Benefits of a music workshop include:

  • Working more efficiently together
  • Bonding through a shared fun experience
  • Being challenged by facing a new task or experience together
  • Improved team spirit and performance
  • Respect between participants
  • Improved concentration, focus and communication skills

All Music Workshop Company workshops are led by professional musicians who are experienced workshop leaders and projects can be tailored to your needs.
