We regularly work with Teachers from schools throughout the UK to deliver a wide range of workshops for both non-music and music teachers - perfect for inset day training.
All Music Workshop Company workshops are led by professional musicians who are experienced workshop leaders and projects can be tailored to your needs. We work with you to provide the perfect event for your school or organisation. All projects are tailored to the needs of the participants and resource packs can be supplied.
All workshops below can be an introduction to teachers or an introduction on how to teach a particular style of music. No prior musical experience required.

African Drummers: Includes an introduction to the rhythms and drums of West Africa and North Africa
Latin American Percussion: An introduction to the rhythms and instruments of Samba, plus make your own percussion instruments Samba workshop
Junk Percussion: A rhythmic workshop using household objects as musical instruments plus make your own percussion instruments out of junk
Singers: How to encourage students of all ages to sing; Singing in parts; An introduction to British Folk Songs; An introduction to Caribbean Songs; An introduction to Afro-American Songs; An introduction to songs from around the World; An introduction to jazz singing
Jazz Ensembles: Jazz improvisation; An introduction to jazz singing
Pop Groups: An introduction to the basics of writing a pop song
Composers: Listen to a composer talk about their works - their inspiration, instruments used; Work with a composer to create a work
Ceilidh Group: A "hands on" introduction to the music and dance of the traditional Ceilidh
