Funding

For those who are interested in projects but concerned about finances, here are some ideas for making workshops more affordable….

Multiple workshops
If you are interested in a series of projects with the same group the cost per session is greatly reduced when booked at the same time. Multiple projects (booked at the same time) with different performers also receive discounts.

Joint projects
If you require a project for a small group of students — for example a G.C.S.E. or sixth form group — why not join up with a neighbouring school who study the same syllabus? The cost of the workshop can then be spilt between the participating schools.

Area wide projects
If an ensemble has a number of workshops in the same area on a particular day, this will also bring down the cost of the project. Why not discuss projects with nearby schools — primary and secondary?
If you are interested in a project but are concerned about the cost —please get in touch, as we may be able to help arrange partnerships with other schools.

Pupil contributions
Some schools ask their pupils to contribute to the cost of a workshop, instead of going on a school trip.

Local Authorities
Some local authorities give grants for Arts projects - contact your local Arts Development Officer for more information.

FUNDING

Here are the names of some organisations that offer funding for arts projects. If you wish to apply for funding, we can write a proposal specifically for your school or community group that you can use as a basis for your application.

If you are considering applying to a Foundation or grant giving-body for funds, ensure that you read the guidelines for applicants and if you are unsure if you are eligable to apply, contact the organisation and discuss your project with them.
