World Music Workshop Packages

A series of 10 multi-cultural workshops which can take place over a week or be spread over a year. The package costs £3,400 for ten workshops or a series of six workshops costs £2,500. Each workshop lasts up to 2 hours. No prior musical experience required.

Workshop 1 - World Percussion
An introduction to percussion instruments from around the World.

Workshop 2 - Afro-American Music Vocal Workshop
An introduction to work songs and spirituals from the Afro-American tradition.

Workshop 3 - West African Drumming Workshop
Probably the noisiest workshop of the series! Get the chance to learn about and play the Djembe, a drum from West Africa.

Workshop 4 - British Folk Music Vocal Workshop
An introduction to songs from the British Isles from old favourites to lesser known tunes.

Workshop 5 - Latin American Percussion Workshop
A chance to learn about and play the infectious rhythms of the Samba.

Workshop 6 - Scottish Folk Music Dance and Vocal Workshop
Learn about folk songs and dances from Scotland with the chance to take part in a Ceilidh.

Workshop 7 - Caribbean Music Vocal Workshop
Learn about the music of the Caribbean - feel the rhythms of Calypso, Soca and Reggae.

Workshop 8- Junk percussion Workshop
An introduction to using household objects to make music.

Workshop 9 - Jazz music Workshop
An introduction to singing jazz music.

Workshop 10 - Folk songs from around the World Vocal Workshop
Celebrate the cultures from around the World.

All workshops are interactive with hands on music making. All events will be led by professional musicians and any instruments required will be supplied by the musicians.
