West African Drumming

Our West African Drumming workshop introduces participants to the drums and rhythms of West Africa.

Participants take part in a drumming circle, exploring rhythms using body percussion before being introduced to the djembe, learning technique and rhythms from West Africa.

The workshop works with up to 35 participants (1 class) per session. We can run up to 3 sessions in a half day (up to 3 hours, morning or afternoon) or up to 7 sessions in a whole day (typically 8:50am - 3:30pm).

The workshop can be adapted for a wide range of ages and abilities in nurseries, primary schools, secondary schools, SEND settings, holiday clubs, care homes, team building, museums and libraries.
